A war is coming. The republicans are starting the GOP's war on democracy. Josh Hawley is telling everyone their battle plans.

Missouri’s junior Republican senator wants Republicans use right-wing laws — like abortion bans — to terrorize political opponents and accumulate more power. Hawley’s vision involves a nation where liberals flee from states run by Republicans.

Hawley's Quotes

“I think we ill see a major sorting out across the country that is already underway as we speak. States move to change their laws or adopt new laws in response to this decision,” Hawley said.

“More and more red states, they’re going to become redder. Purple states are going to become red. Blue states are going to get a lot bluer,”

Also, “Republicans will be a shoo-in for future elections once — you know — Democrats are scared into liberal enclaves, where they’ll be disempowered by an Electoral College that has historically given conservative states outsize power.”

Lastly, “I would look for Republicans, as a result of this in time, to extend their strength in the Electoral College.” “And that’s very good news for those of us who want to see Republican presidents elected, that want to see a Supreme Court that remains conservative.”

Turning States Red

Part of the GOP war on democracy is voter supression. How are they going to help turn those purple states red? The one idea they are already working on right now is voter suppression laws. It is an authoritarian plot offering Americans only three options. The options are to comply, run, or be crushed. That’s fascism.

Final Thoughts on the GOP's War on Democracy

Let’s hope Americans will have enough of this coming from the Republicans that they will start voting them out in future election and turn the tables.
